Tarte Amazonian Clay Foundation Review

Hey Beauties,

So i recently but a photo of this foundation on my instagram and asked who would like to see a review and i was inundated with 'yes'. So here it is. I have combination oily skin that leans towards the oily side especially in summer, I'm like a constant grease ball no matter what. So when i was in Sydney i wandered into Sephora in desperate need (not really) for a foundation, especially a higher end foundation as i don't particularly have higher end foundations. I got a sample of this foundation and the Kat Von D Lock-It foundation but of course they were sold out in my shade, so i purchased the Tarte Amazonian Clay 12 Hour Full Coverage Foundation.

First of all this is a mousse type foundation, one that I've never owned before and i was so fascinated by its consistency. Its like I've whipped up egg whites and they're super fluffy. Anyway so i was drawn into it by the texture and it claiming to be full coverage which it is not. I used a beauty blender to apply this and it was in no way full coverage as i expected it to be, it was kind of medium coverage but its definitely build able. It doesn't set super quickly so its quite easy to work with and its very light on the face.

I carried on with the rest of my face routine which includes setting my foundation with powder as i am super oily. I got about my day and i looked into the mirror at about 3-4pm and wow the foundation had parted on my face and gone all patchy and i was a shiny disco ball. Needless to say i was disappointed, i feel like Tarte lied to me hahah.

I was expecting the longevity of Estee Lauder Double Wear and i got the longevity of Loreal True Match (doesn't last long on me). I feel like this foundation will be perfect in winter as my face is less oily and i think i will get a longer wear out of it but for summer its a no go right now especially with how hot it has been. I will continue to try it with different primers and applications etc but until now its a no go if you have super oily skin. I think this would suit either normal to combo skin or possibly even dry skin as its so light i don't think it will cling to dry patches.

So those are my thoughts on Tarte Amazonian Clay Foundation. Have you tried it before? what are your thoughts? Leave some comments below.

Until next time,

Sydney Haul & thoughts of Sephora

Hey Beauties,

Beginning of January i went to sydney for two weeks and of course Sydney has the first Australian Sephora. I'm not going to lie i went there about 7 times in the two weeks there. I didn't buy much makeup from Sephora because most of it was out of stock which sucked majorly because i feel like they should of been getting refills every week and have constant stock levels up which they didn't at all. The prices were average, they claimed to have US prices but i knew that would never happen because of taxes, import costs, shipping etc. Prices were kind of on par with Mecca, Myer etc so it was nothing major. It was also ridiculously busy all the time and hard to get anywhere around the store which i knew it would be like that. Im hoping next time i go back to Sydney they have better stock levels and the hype has calmed down. So enough of sephora, below are what i purchased with swatches swell, i hope you enjoy this post.

Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer in 'Medium Custard', Tarte Amazonian Clay 12 hour foundation  in 'Ivory'

MAC Mineralize skinfinish in 'Perfect Topping'

Swatch of Perfect Topping

OCC Test Tube Lip Tars, Stained Glosses in 'Rhythm Box' and 'Mein Herr'.
Matte Colours in 'Narcissus' and 'Roller Girl'

Swatches of Lip Tars

So although i didnt buy much I'm happy with what i got as i have wanted to try everything for awhile.

Until next time,

love always,

Best of Beauty 2014

Hello Beauties,

I am back and ready to blog! My break was amazing as was my holiday and Sephora hehe. Okay enough of me, as the title suggests this post is about my favourite products from 2014. I have picked one from each kind of 'category' and ill explain a little about why i love it. I hope you enjoy this post.

Primer: Revlon Perfecting Primer
This was a sly one that kind of crept into my every day routine. I grabbed this primer on a whim and probably the best drugstore purchased primer! As you know i have combination/oily skin and this makes my skin feel and look super flawless whilst keeping the oil at bay and helping prolong my makeup. PRICE

Foundation: Revlon Color Stay
WOW i love this foundation. These are for the combination/oily skin and it works wonders! I have these in the shades, 150 Buff and 220 Natural Beige for when I'm tan. These are supposedly a cheaper dupe for Estee Lauder Double Wear and they totally are although these are only slightly cheaper at 34.95 AUD but generally Chemist Warehouse have 50% off Revlon cosmetics so i grab them then!.

Concealer: Mac Pro Longwear Concealer
Ahhh the infamous pro long wear concealer, every beauty blogger and youtuber raves about this and its totally understandable why. Its extremely full coverage and long wearing which i need cause i have some horrible dark circles. This still creases on me but every concealer creases on me but I've found myself reaching for this every day.

Powder: Australis Fresh and Flawless
This is one of my ride or die powders, it literally leaves you so flawless its beyond a joke and its so cheap at about 12AUD from Priceline, you literally can't go wrong. I have all three shades in Natural, Deep Natural and Darkest Brown. The shade range is tiny and i feel like they need to make more shades as this powder is simply amazing.

Setting Powder: BareMinerals Well-Rested
I use this as an under eye setting powder and its amazing. It a yellow slightly shimmery powder that does wonders for my under eyes preventing them from creasing majorly while also counteracting my dark circles. Its super cheap for 24AUD available from Kit Cosmetics or Mecca. I can see me repurchasing this forever and ever.

Blush: Hourglass Ambient Blush Palette
Holy hell i don't know where to start with this, its soooo amazing. Its ridiculously pigmented and so beautiful i am so in love with this palette. Mood Exposure is my favourite blush out of this palette. I can see this lasting forever and I'm definitely wanting other HourGlass blushes.

Highlighter: Stila Kitten Duo
Although this isn't the notorious kitten colour these are variations of it and they're amazing highlighters. I use the light pink as an inner corner highlight and when I'm wearing a light pink blush. The champagne colour blends perfectly when wearing a rose gold coloured blush and its simply perfection. I have found myself grabbing this mainly for the light pink colour as its the perfect eye highlight

Brows: Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow Pomade
I have raved about this product so much so i won't rave too much more. Its amazing and summer proof and leave me with brows to kill. I have used this every day since i got it and its totally my holy grail brow product.

Eyeshadow: Urban Decay Naked2 Basics
I have literally used this palette nearly every day since i got it. I absolutely love the original Naked2 palette although it has too many shimmery colours for every day wear so of course when this was released i jumped on the matte colours. I use this for day looks as well as night looks and everything in-between.

Eyeliner: Bourjous Waterproof Clubbing eyeliner and Nyx Wonder Pencil
I couldn't choose just one eyeliner. I use the Nyx wonder pencil daily to line my waterline and make me appear more awake and i use the Bourjous eyeliner when i go out clubbing or am feeling a dramatic eyeliner day as its super creamy and blend able and literally does not budge.

Mascara: Toofaced Better than Sex
This mascara has changed my life. It is so ridiculously good its without doubt a close second to my holy grail mascara. It lengths and adds volume to my lashes and i use this nearly every day although apparently there is a world wide shortage of this mascara so i haven't been using it as much as i don't want to run out and not be able to repurchase it!

So those are my absolute favourites from 2014 and i hope you enjoyed this post.

Whats in my Travel Bag

Hey Beauties,

So i thought id do this post purely because the next three weeks I'm away. Firstly I'm going to Busselton in WA for a festival called Southbound, where i will be camping over night as its a two day festival. Secondly after southbound i fly out to Sydney for almost two weeks. So todays post is about what ill be taking to sydney with me and more than likely Southbound too although not as much.

Face Products:

Primers: I need to bring two primers with me, because i will find it hard to use one product for two weeks. My choices are Benefit Porefessional and Bourjous Happy Light Matte primer. Ive been loving these two primers a lot lately, either by themselves or together, they're the perfect combo.

Foundation: Okay so im in a dilemma, im tanning for southbound but not for sydney otherwise ill either need to bring a zillion different foundations as the tan fades or tan again while in sydney which i don't exactly want to do, so hopefully by the time the festival is over my tan has faded enough that ill only need to bring two foundations. These choices are Loreal Infallible Foundation and Revlon Color Stay, these two foundations make me look flawless and stay on forever, perfect for exploring Sydney.

Concealers: I forgot to include concealers in the photo but essentially ill be bring both my MAC prolong wear concealers as they're amazing and i don't think i need to explain them a anymore.

Powders: Ofcourse Australis Fresh and Flawless is in my travel bag because i want to be flawless duhh. Plus this is perfect for that in-between tan stage.

Finishing Products: Ill be bringing my Face of Australia translucent powder, MAC Fix+ and BareMinerals Well rested to set my under eye concealer. These three products make sure my face isn't going anywhere haha.

Blush/Contour/Highlighter:  Considering I'm bringing a lot of makeup i need to save on space somehow so fortunately i have the Nars Virtual Domination Palette. Its got all three products in it and they're all to die for.

Lipsticks: Ofcourse i need to bring at least 5 different lipsticks because well i dunno what ill be wearing and a girl has to be prepared. My travel bag picks are Sportsgirl Pout About it in 'Duchess', Gerard Cosmetics Lipstick '1995', TooFaced Melted Lipstick in 'Peony', Mac Prep+ Prime Lip, Mac Lipstick in 'Mac Red', BeneBalm, Gerard Cosmetics lipgloss in 'Fiji'. Im just prepared

Skin Care:

I couldn't go two weeks without skincare, although this isn't as big as my skincare range at home this will do. Im bringing Sukin Rosehip Oil, ModelsPrefer Matte Me moisturiser which i absolutely love so much wow! Transformulas Eye lifting Gel because i aint got no time for bags. Ofcourse I'm bringing Lucas Pawpaw because i don't go anywhere without it. Last but not least ill be bringing Daisy Perfume by Marc Jacobs.

So thats what in my travel bag, its probably too much but id rather be over prepared than under prepared. I hope you enjoyed this post.

Until Next time..

Indeed Labratories; Products and reviews

Hello my beauties,

Ahhhhhhhh firstly wow its been forever and i have missed blogging a lot but i needed to take a break as i felt like blogging was a bit of a chore and university also got in the way but i am back!.
So as the title suggests this post will be about Indeed Labratories and a few of their products i have tried. So please read on to find out what products i am loving of theirs.

Hydraluron Moisture Boosting Mask: This mask is ah-friggen-mazing, there is no other way to explain it. It is a sheet mask and 4 masks come in the packet. These masks aim to release hyaluronic acid whilst on your skin which aims to hydrate your skin from beneath. It literally leaves my skin feeling like a babies bum! I don't have dry skin intact i have combination oily skin so i don't use these weekly, i instead use them monthly or whenever my skin feels a bit dry especially in winter. These masks retail for 29.99AUD which is kind of pricey for me anyway but they are definitely worth it especially if you don't use them weekly.

Eysilix Instant Eye Rescue:  I am a sucker for eye creams, if you're a regular reader of my blog you will know i have dark circles and they are my biggest insecurity on my face, so gimme any eye cream that claims to 'rescue' my eyes and I'm there. This is quite a thick cream formula and goes on quite nicely although i found that if i rub my eyes a few hours after putting it on it has the tendency to ball up. I must say it hasn't 'rescued' my eyes from the horrendous bags but it does wonders on reducing puffiness. This retails for 34.99AUD and in my honest opinion there is better eye creams out there for girls with dark circles, but if you're only worried about puffiness then i would  definitely give this a shot.

Hydraluron: This product when i first got it i was so confused on what exactly it was, but i am here to inform you its a serum, so now you can all sleep easy knowing i have figure this out for you hahah.
Seriously this stuff is amazing, i was using it religiously during winter when my skin has a tendency to get dry, i would put this on before my moisturiser at night to give it that extra moisture boost. This serum and the moisture boosting masks  tie in so well together, i use the masks then i put this on before my moisturiser and my skin is #flawless. I highly recommend this product even if you have combination/oily or oily skin, i alternate between Hydraluron and Rosehip oil and my skin has never been better.

So that is all my thoughts on the Indeed Lab products i have used and loved.
Feel free to comment below letting me know your experiences with these products.
Until next time..

Australis AC On Tour; Contouring & Highlighting Kit

Hey Beauties,

So i felt like i just HAD to do this blog post and show you lovely readers the new Australis Contouring and Highlighting kit. This is a new release from Australis and like almost every Australis product I'm very impressed. Its a supposed dupe for the Anastasia Beverly Hills Contour Kit which i don't own myself but i honestly feel like i don't need too after buying this baby. Its so pigmented and versatile its beyond a joke. There are three highlighting/lighter shades and three contouring/darker shades, all varying in colour so you can find the perfect highlight and contour for just about any skin tone. As i am quite of a fair  skinned girl i find that using too much of the contouring powder can make me look muddy and disgusting so using a light hand is a definite. I also use this palette for not only contouring and highlighting but also for eyeshadow bases, highlighting the inner corners of my eyes and using the contouring shades as transition shades for eye shadows. Seriously if you're in Australia head to your local Priceline or purchase it online here for only 16.95 AUD.

Seriously this palette is amazing!
Thats all for now my beauties,

Until next time,
Love always
